Job Description
To deliver high-quality instruction in IB DP Economics and MYP/DP Humanities, fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and academic excellence in alignment with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and the mission of the school.
Reports To: Secondary Principal / IB MYP/DP Coordinator
Key Responsabilities
Teach IB Diploma Programme (DP) Economics and MYP/DP Humanities (e.g., History, Geography, Global Politics), as assigned.
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet IB standards and learning objectives.
Develop unit plans in alignment with IB curriculum frameworks (including ATL skills, global contexts, key/related concepts).
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and international mindedness.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Use a range of formative and summative assessment tools to inform instruction and provide timely feedback.
Collaborate with department colleagues and contribute to interdisciplinary planning and school-wide initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and report according to school policies.
Participate in IB-related professional development and maintain an up-to-date understanding of IB practices.
Contribute to school life through involvement in events, clubs, experiential learning activities, or advisory roles.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.

Required Skills/Abilities
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, History, Political Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Teaching certification or equivalent credentials.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching at the secondary level; IB DP and/or MYP experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in an international or multicultural school setting is an asset.
Proficiency in English (the language of instruction).
