We are seeking a NDT Branch Lead to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is an exciting leadership role offering growth, development, and the opportunity to make a significant impact. You will be overseeing a team of 24 technicians, ensuring safety, performance, and the successful execution of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services. With occasional travel, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to work primarily out of Saint John while supporting our operations across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch and Coordinate – Ensure timely and efficient dispatch of technicians for inspections, based on project and service demands.
- Client Relations – Communicate with customers to address issues, deliver test results, and ensure project satisfaction.
- Ensure Compliance – Oversee that all work adheres to NDT methods, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Must understand the scope and limitations of various NDT methods.
- Administrative Duties – Review timesheets, reports, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Qualifications
- Educational background – A diploma in Engineering Technology is required; an Engineering degree is preferred. Familiarity with NDT methods and procedures is essential.
- Experience – 5+ years of experience in NDT, with a strong understanding of industry standards and codes. Previous leadership experience is an asset.
- Certifications – CGSB certifications are an asset but not required.
- Technical and Leadership Skills – Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent team management skills, and familiarity with NDT equipment and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams is required.
- Communication Skills – Ability to effectively communicate with both clients and internal teams. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve problems are critical.
