Procurement Assistant (part time, up to 29 hours per week)
salary commensurate with education, experience, and demonstrated proficiency.
Hours of Operation: 9a-5p, Monday thru Friday, some weekends optional

The housing organization has helped over 550 families and individuals build or improve the places they call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
Reports to: Procurement Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of donated materials, supplies, and services to support Habitat’s housing and community programs
- Vet donations in collaboration with donors to ensure alignment with organizational needs and standards
- Maintain and update donor records and procure documentation for transparency and stewardship
- Prepare, stage, and process procurement-generated donations for ReStore and program use
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with pricing accuracy across donated and purchased items
- Generate monthly donation receipts and coordinate with finance and development teams
- Communicate with donors and vendors to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships
- Ensure compliance with Habitat’s procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Support invoice reconciliation, purchasing documentation, and reporting workflows
Requirements
Core Skills:
- Donor and vendor relationship management
- Inventory tracking and pricing accuracy
- Procurement compliance and documentation
- CRM and database proficiency (e.g., Razor’s Edge NXT, MS Office Suite)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to Habitat’s mission and values
