JOB TITLE: Title I Interventionist
LOCATION: Taylor County Middle School
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 200 Days, Full-time
EFFECTIVE DATE: Start of 2025-2026 School Year
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS: Principal and County Curriculum Director
FUNDING SOURCE: Title I

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Holds valid West Virginia Teacher Certification/Licensure in Elementary Education for grades K-6 or K-8 or 5-9 Certification;
- Demonstrates knowledge of best instructional practices/research-based intervention practices delivered in the WV Tiered System of Support (WVTSS) model;
- Satisfactory evaluations and/or recommendations;
- Exhibits knowledge of the duties and responsibilities as demonstrated in the personal interview;
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, school personnel and parents;
- Educational philosophy comparable with the Taylor County Board of Education philosophy, mission statement and core beliefs;
- Ability to motivate students and get them excited about learning.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students who are at risk in Reading/Language Arts and Math;
- Maintain data-based documentation of tiered intervention training and progress monitoring;
- Participate in progress monitoring and analysis of data to identify students in need of tiered intervention and benchmarking;
- Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation, completed and submitted in a timely manner;
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff and parents to share knowledge, convey program goals, develop skills, and implement the intervention process;
- Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning;
- Other duties as assigned.
