Position Overview

The National Sales Manager – Legendary Golf will lead all revenue generation from our national sales force across the United States, focused heavily on the green-grass golf and golf resorts. This role demands someone with a deep knowledge of the golf industry, strong leadership skills, and proven success in selling soft goods (apparel/accessories) or hard goods (equipment). The ideal candidate has at least five years of field sales experience in either product category, and a minimum of one year in sales leadership (e.g., sales director or national sales manager) within the golf industry.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Sales Execution 

Own and execute the national sales strategy for green grass and golf resort channels, including goals, pipeline development, pricing matrices, channel segmentation, and sales forecasts.

  • Team Management 

Recruit, manage, and motivate a national network of independent sales reps across the U.S., ensuring coverage of all targeted territories and alignment with company goals.

  • Account Management & Relations

Serve as primary liaison for top-tier national green grass and resort accounts. Build and maintain relationships with key buyers, operators, and decision-makers.

  • Field Support & Trade Shows 

Execute up to 50% travel, including weekends, to support rep-led sales calls, on-site events, regional sales meetings, and trade shows; represent Legendary at industry events such as PGA Show, buying shows, and resort sales conferences.

  • Product & Marketing Collaboration

Work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver sales collateral, POS materials, and training to internal and field teams—leveraging your knowledge of our headwear product and service capabilities.

  • Revenue & Forecast Management 

Manage sales budgets, demand forecasting, and performance metrics to drive profitability and growth.


Skills and Competencies

  • Golf Industry Expertise: 

Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the golf industry (soft goods and hard goods). Preferable experience selling to golf resorts, green grass facilities, private clubs, and other core golf channels.

  • Sales Leadership Experience: 

At least 1 year in a sales management role (Sales Director or NSM) overseeing independent reps or internal teams.

  • Representative Network: 

Established relationships or membership in PGA and relevant golf buying groups, associations, or management groups.

  • Skill Set & Personal Attributes:
    • Excellent leadership and coaching ability.
    • Highly energetic, enthusiastic about both golf and headwear.
    • Proficient in strategic prospecting, negotiation, pipeline management, CRM tools.
    • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Travel: 

Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends; able to support field sales events


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution, or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • 10+ years sales management experience in the Golf Industry with proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.


Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs occasionally for show booths (setup & teardown); approximately 5-6 times per year.
