As a Senior Account Executive based in Singapore, you will be joining a team of high performing and experienced salespeople to grow the OpenText Commercial business in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

 

You will be responsible in setting your territory strategy in conjunction with the senior management, identifying the most effective channels to go to market and taking accountability over the end-to-end sales cycle. Cross team collaboration will be at the centre of your daily activity and the true enabler of your success.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • This role requires a very entrepreneurial approach based on identifying your territory specific needs and refining OpenText value proposition to address them.
  • You have high energy and are excited by a hunting role where you will be both leveraging existing relationships and building new relationships.
  • You will be coordinating sales operations with the alliances, marketing and account development teams to generate your pipeline of opportunities.
  • You will collaborate with global teams who will provide subject matter expertise and help you refine your strategy and drive large complex enterprise software solutions.
  • In the pursuit of excellence, you will be regularly assessing with your peers and leadership team how to improve your approach to market and strategy on your deals.

 

This role is based in Singapore and will have travel requirements to Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 7 or more years’ experience in selling enterprise software (direct sales role)
  • Knowledge and network in the markets in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam is a plus
  • “Hunter” mentality as this role is looking mainly after net new business and white space 
  • An understanding of OpenText solutions or Information Management technology is a significant advantage
  • Achievement of quarterly targets
  • Ability to understand client’s personal and business challenges to craft an effective value proposition
  • Take ownership and accountability to resolve every issue impacting your performance
  • Ability to negotiate commercial agreements and achieve mutual success with your clients
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand a prospect’s business challenges
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
  • Creative, can-do attitude when deciding both the territory and deal strategy
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment - only constant is change
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability and desire for continuous learning
