Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Job Purpose

Drive effective implementation of enterprise governance frameworks within business units and support functions.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Support Business/Function Heads in risk governance and oversight of control issues.
  2. Lead periodic risk and control assessments; identify gaps and recommend enhancements.
  3. Conduct control testing and thematic reviews across key processes.
  4. Monitor open audit issues, internal control findings, and ensure timely closure with sustainable fixes
  5. Ensure adherence to local and group-wide policies, including those related to operational risk, conduct risk, and information security.
  6. Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (RBI circulars, MAS guidelines where applicable) and support in regulatory inspections and audits.
  7. Assist in ensuring end-to-end process risk documentation and regular policy reviews
  8. Liaise closely with Business, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Group Governance teams.
  9. Prepare governance dashboards, MIS, and presentations for senior leadership and committees.
  10. Collaborate with regional and group teams to ensure consistency of controls and governance practices
  11. Conduct training sessions and workshops to reinforce governance, conduct, and control awareness among teams.
  12. Champion the culture of strong risk ownership, control awareness, and ethical behavior

Job Duties & responsibilities

  1. Preparing the BCP/BIA document
  2. Preparing all other BCP related exercises/ reports during the year- Staff recall, functional exercises
  3. Attending the BCP and the BCAP DR drill during the year at the alternate sites
  4. Conduct Assurance Testing to assess Core Team and BU's proficiency in complying with CDD/AML Policy of the Bank/Regulator
  5. Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, and sanctions screening
  6. Identify control gaps and issues, and drive remediation efforts to strengthen the control environment
  7. Conduct Thematic Reviews to identify & mitigate AML/Financial Crime Risk
  8. Assist in investigating and resolving AML / KYC related issues
  9. Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
  10. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends
  11. Engage key stakeholders to promote strong risk culture and ensure smooth implementation of governance and control initiatives
  12. Support Trade Based AML audit and ensure timely closure of actionable
  13. Improve Controls / Compliance for IBG India; embed risk culture within IBG Team with special focus on building robust process for SME customers
  14. Responsible to track and reduce EDPMS / IDPMS outstanding for IBG clients
  15. Support monitoring other KRIs related to operational and credit risk.
  16. Support various audit submission including RBI, group and concurrent audits

Required Experience

Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in AML / KYC

Education / Preferred Qualifications

  1. CA / MBA / Graduate with minimum 4 + years of relevant experience in AML/KYC
  2. ACAMS / CFE certification (desirable)
  3. Knowledge of financial markets and instruments (beneficial)

Technical Competencies

  1. Knowledge of RBI guideline on AML / KYC
  2. Understanding of customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD)
  3. Familiarity with sanctions and watchlist screening
  4. Awareness of Industry trends and emerging risk
