Position Summary
The Asset & Training Manager is responsible for implementing Network Controls Training, Vendor Compliance, and Asset Management Program at all business locations to include Client sites. The Associate will work with company management to identify solutions that will maximize our training and compliance related concerns. An understanding of scheduling, asset management as well as strong verbal and written communication skills is required for this position.
Position Responsibilities- Essential
Training
- Proactively coordinate efforts with Engineering, Project Managers, Operations, etc. to ensure all training related needs are met and documented.
- Coordinates with Manufacturers to identify all relevant documentation and training to coordinate scheduling and completion in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
- Develop program strategies and set targets for a proactive employee participation in training opportunities for both technical skills and safety.
- Keeps abreast of compliance related changes that would / could affect Manufacturer relations.
- Develops and maintains appropriate record keeping.
- Develop training curriculum. Curriculum should show needed training for all employees as well as position specific.
- Coordinates and monitors training for all employees, describing and explaining the expectations in the defined policies and procedures
- Compile and analyze training certificates and opportunities for both individuals as well as the company.
- Work with Director of Safety and Safety Consultant to provide safety-oriented training.
- Collect employee feedback on training classes.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on training programs
Asset Management
- Conducts and coordinates routine and regular asset inspections and audits at all Network Controls sites to promote the proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Maintain and manage asset storage
- Maintain and update records of assets to ensure all assets are accounted for in the asset system to include quarterly audits.
- Enforce the Asset Check-out and Check-in procedures
- Coordinate maintenance of assets per manufacturers recommendations.
- Primary point of contact for downloading test data and storing appropriately on the servers.
Compliance, Rebates, and Warranty
- Manage, review and maintain all company certifications
- Verify and maintain individual certifications required for company compliance
- Manage and process all POS reports and submit necessary documentation for rebates
- Coordinate with Sales and Estimating any opportunities for additional discounts related to brand specific projects
- Process all warranty documentation
Materials Return Management
- Work to ensure all materials brought back from jobsites in returnable condition, not returned by Project Team, are processed for refund in a timely manner.
- Manage divesting of all non-returnable materials to recover best possible value.
- Stock Shop management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in training and/or asset management
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to compile training standards and requirements.
- Ability to meet deadlines and understand the time issues involved in managing both training and compliance scheduling.
- Skill in reading and interpreting technical documentation and guides.
- Strong time management, organizational, presentation and relationship building skills.
- Ability to communicate with manufacturers, vendors, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
• Proficiency with Fluke and AFL testers
• Experience in Telecommunications/Structured Cabling Industry is preferred.
