Driver Manager:

Dedicated Logistics, in Martinsburg, WV provides dedicated contract transportation and distribution services within the auto industry. The majority of our 90+ drivers out of the Martinsburg terminal have set home daily routes. The primary role of a Driver Manager is to ensure all routes are covered on a daily basis. In addition, act as a liaison between the driver and the customer when needed. This position is the driver’s main point of contact, and so must have excellent and timely communications with their drivers. A successful candidate for this position will be able to:

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of drivers and dispatchers in a fun work environment.
• Ensure all routes are filled on a daily basis.
• The ability to multi-task.
• Communicate both verbally, and email, in a professional manner. This includes good listening skills.
• High energy level and dependability.
• Interact with other company leadership or customers to resolve problems and/or requests.
• Communicate with outside customers.
• Research, recommend and establish best practices.
• Available to work Monday through Friday with ability to work flexible hours.

We prefer the following qualifications:

• Associates Degree, graduation from Technical School, or equivalent work experience required.
• 1 – 2 years in Transportation working directly with drivers, would prefer previous dispatch experience.
• Previous leadership experience or demonstrated experience leading projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (Excel and Word)
• Ability to shift gears and learn new technology or information quickly.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Takes guidance from the Operations Manager on job responsibilities and company needs.
