onsemi is seeking engineering graduates for a unique Field Applications Engineer rotational position among US corporate locations. Training with product business units, mentoring from current FSEs and FAEs, and exposure to a broad customer base are all available to allow this graduate a range of experience and preference for final job location and technology focus. A 9-month rotation program across 2 sites will allow exposure to multiple technology levels prior to settling into a final role. Stipends are available to subsidize moving and living expenses based on the location and duration. All individuals will have a full-time FSE or FAE role upon completion of the rotation.
Field Applications Engineers work alongside Field Sales Engineers to drive sales growth using their technical skill set to identify differentiation for a given application. As a liaison to the business unit’s product cycle, FAEs also aid in defining new products based on industry trends and hyper growth areas. Upon completing the rotational program, the FAE will be the front-line technical contact involved in pre-sales activity, design specification, schematic review, and prototyping leading to the production process.
Performance Objectives:
- Expand onsemi presence as a strategic partner with key customers
- Develop technical skills and strong relationships within business unit marketing and engineering teams to help develop and drive next-generation solutions
- Work hand in hand with sales to establish a strategic sales plan for your hyper-growth accounts and the region
- Work with the customers and the BU to develop new solutions that can serve both your customers and the larger market
Qualifications
- Entry Level Position Graduate with BS in Engineering or Physics, Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Able to review and understand schematics and block diagrams and provide support to customer designs while expanding onsemi content in customer application
- Familiar with standard electronic components in power regulation and conversion, sensing circuits, and battery charging
- Experience with commonly used lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, etc.… to evaluate and debug electronic circuits
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse set of personalities and cultures
