Job Summary:
The Group ECM is responsible for leading a team of import and export professionals to ensure all aspects of trade compliance activities, including adherence to policies and procedures, export licensing, auditing, training, issue investigation, escalation and resolution. The Group ECM is expected to be appointed as the Crane Aerospace & Electronics Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO). The ITPSO provides oversight and management to ensure compliance with Department of Defense National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM). The IPTSO is required to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership and direction to the trade compliance professionals within the department to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and Crane policies.
Ensure compliance with requirements of all applicable Crane’s Security Program policies and applicable federal laws related to cybersecurity programs.
Acts as a subject-matter expert and provides guidance to senior leadership for trade compliance and industrial security matters.
Maintain and enhance Crane’s trade compliance and industrial security programs by overseeing the development and training of key topics to Crane A&E associates, ensuring adequate auditing and oversight is performed, supporting Crane Company internal audit, and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
Resolve complex compliance challenges by monitoring regulatory changes, investigating potential compliance incidents, and coordinate with inside and outside legal counsel as needed.
Monitor and track all licensing activity conducted by the department. Coordinate and oversee applicable Government regulatory filings, including but not limited to access to systems such as DDTC, E-QIP, and DISS.
Oversee all applicable automatic and manual denied party screenings, ensuring compliance with end-user verification, ensure adequate training is provided to internal stakeholders, such as sales, shipping, and supply chain personnel, monitor anti-boycott compliance
Develop and maintain an insider threat program by working closely with Human Resources, the Director of Contracts and Export Compliance, Crane Global Information Security, and other applicable stakeholders. The IPTSO ensures the insider threat program complies with the requirements of the NISPOM.
Performs all supervisory duties related to performance evaluation, development, compensation, succession planning, staffing, etc. for the export and import compliance department. This will encompass supervising individuals across several different sites.
Execute any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by supervisor or management related to meeting the objectives of the department and Crane A&E.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of export compliance, contracts management, industrial security or related field.
Knowledge: Expert knowledge of relevant regulations, including those administered by U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, Treasury and Defense (ITAR, EAR, OFAC, NISPOM).
Skill: Demonstrated skill to work independently and proactively and in handling multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Ability: Ability to work effectively across functional teams and with senior leadership. Ability to distill complex regulatory requirements into business impacts and effectively brief executive leaders.
Education/Certification: BA/BS, plus an advanced degree in related area or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance: Possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one within 4 months of employment.
Eligibility Requirement: U.S. citizen only as required under NISPOM regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, JD or joint advanced degree.
Export compliance experience in the aerospace & defense industry, and/or military experience.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment in a manufacturing company.
Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail.
Occasionally, visiting the manufacturing environment may require the use of safety equipment such as eye-safety glasses, hearing protection, heel/wrist straps and others, and may cause occasional exposure to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, dust or fumes.

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $151,985.60 to $188,323.20. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
