Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00–$24.00 per hour

Your Role & Impact

As a Medical Assistant, you will be the backbone of our clinical operations, ensuring patients receive efficient, compassionate care.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Escort patients, take vitals, and gather medical histories
     
  • Clinical Tasks: Perform blood draws, COVID swabs, EKGs, and basic lab tests such as urinalysis
     
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications under provider supervision
     
  • Front Desk Support: Greet patients, verify insurance, manage calls and appointments
     
  • Team Support: Keep the clinic clean and stocked while fostering a collaborative environment
     

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
     
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program (preferred)
     
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
     
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
     

Experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
     
  • EKG experience is required
     
  • Experience in Urgent Care is a plus
     
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
     
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement
     
  • Strong commitment to customer service
     

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of medical terminology and EMR systems
     
  • Competence in PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office
     
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
     
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
     
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
     

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional walking, sitting, reaching, and lifting (25–50 lbs)
     
  • Manual dexterity and hand coordination required for clinical tasks

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
     
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program (preferred)
     
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant
     
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
     

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
     
  • Experience in Urgent Care (preferred)
     
  • EKG experience (required)
     
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and staff
     
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability in responsibilities

  • Strong commitment to customer service for both patients and third-party vendors
     

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
     
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
     
  • Familiarity with medical instruments and clinical workflows

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
