The Welder plays a crucial role in fabricating, assembling, and welding components used in the oil and gas industry. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong background in welding techniques, precision work, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities

OPERATIONS
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, to join and fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate and precise execution of welding projects.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints and structures to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure effective communication and successful completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and prevent safety hazards.
- Monitor and control consumables inventory related to welding activities.
- Participate in training sessions and stay informed about advancements in welding technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Min 2 years of welding experience in manufacturing line
- Technical certificated welder
- Use of hand tools, jigs and fixtures.
- Familiar with TIG welding process
- Experience in MIG is a plus.
- Use of variety of welding rods, gases and processes.
- Knowledge of basic quality requirement
- Use of cutting torch or torch equipment.
- Knowing various temperatures for special materials and welding to engineering specifications.
- The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
