Job Purpose:
Working in a matrix structure, the logistics is responsible for growing Local, Regional, and global logistics revenue. Possess in-depth knowledge on Logistics to strongly position Inchcape as the partner of choice both for our in-house Port Agency customers and 3rd Party customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:(Business Planning)
• To create and deliver against a Logistics business plan for Singapore and the Region with a strong focus on growing existing business and developing new business opportunities.
• To fully engage and work seamlessly with the Local Country Director and Area General Manager Southeast Asia when creating and delivering the plan for the area of responsibility.
• Thorough and structured pipeline formation supporting the Logistics business plan covering lead generation, qualification, and proposal stages to obtain commitment and then sale.
• To actively participate in the delivery of the sector/solution specialist plans in Southeast Asia. Reporting
• Monthly Area Performance review, Area General Manager, Southeast Asia.
• Quarterly business plan review with VP Marine Services APAC and Area General Manager, Southeast Asia Account Management
• Single point of contact for all Logistics Customer accounts based in SEA.
• Regular and structured account calls/meetings with a documented meeting purpose, plan, and desired pay-off.
• Account activity, information, and captured in Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce).
• Prepare and coordinate Sales Proposals, Presentations, and Area Tenders.
• Sales administration function pertains to the Commercial activities in the Logistics framework in SEA.
• Ensure accounts receivable are less than 90 days for all assigned accounts. Logistics Operations Execution
• Ensure smooth operational delivery in terms of Spares coordination.
• Warehouse Management and Reporting.
• Handling Sea-Freight and Air-Freight inquiries.
• Spread heading logistics projects.
• Train the operations team and ensure quality performance all times. Sales Execution
• Securing customer commitment and agreement.
• Pricing, rates qualification, and agreement with Country Director, Area Manager -SEA, and VP global Logistics approval.
• Contract formation with expertise from the contracts team and guidance from VP Global Logistics and AGM - SEA.
• Review and follow up after the sale is closed.
• Lead the growth of Inchcape Products and Solutions. Market Presence and Profile
• Establish self and Inchcape as the recognized partner for Logistics and related Services by growing knowledge base, networking with credible sources and partners, researching market trends, and actively participating in industry events.
• Share industry knowledge and experiences within the SEA teams and wider business to enhance Inchcape’s value proposition.
Person Specification- Knowledge
• Good understanding of Logistics business, including sea-freight, airfreight, cross trade, Door to Deck services, BL documentation, etc. Understanding of port agency services in Southeast Asia. (Not a must)
• Port Agency and Marine Services Global. (Not a must)
