What You'll Do…
- Deploy and Manage AWS Services: Manage AWS resources including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM. Configure cloud instances, profiles, snapshots, backups, and data retention policies. Maintain accurate cloud inventory and documentation.
- Create Infrastructure and Network Diagrams: Develop clear, scalable diagrams to support infrastructure understanding and growth.
- Automate Infrastructure Management: Use Bash, PowerShell, Python, or cloud CLI tools to automate infrastructure management and routine tasks.
- Provision and Configure Infrastructure: Automate provisioning and configuration using CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Manage Scaling and Recovery: Oversee auto-scaling, load balancing, and disaster recovery processes to maintain system resilience.
- Design and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS EKS, integrating security checks such as SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning. Ensure containers are regularly patched and updated to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Implement Security Best Practices: Embed security throughout the software development lifecycle by enforcing runtime security policies, encryption, and IAM best practices. Apply Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in Kubernetes and utilize security tools like Falco, Aqua, or Sysdig.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with architects and developers to ensure cloud deployments are efficient, secure, and cost-effective. Foster knowledge sharing and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor Cloud Infrastructure: Use monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and the ELK stack to observe system health and troubleshoot issues.
- Optimize Resource Usage: Continuously improve resource allocation for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Manage Security and Patch Compliance: Implement security policies, conduct patch management, and remediate vulnerabilities across containers, Linux systems, and cloud environments.
What You’ll Need…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
- Expertise in AWS services including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM. Exposure to Azure or GCP is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and AWS CodePipeline. Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and container security best practices.
- Skilled in infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. Familiar with data retention and backup strategies and capable of creating clear infrastructure diagrams.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps, or Security Specialty.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD are a plus.
