As Global Category Manager you will lead the early stages of the product life cycle—from customer-driven ideation to strategic product development. Your role bridges market insights, product positioning, and multibrand strategies to ensure alignment with business goals. Tasks

  • Leading upstream marketing activities from ideation to product launch.
  • Defining and implementing product and marketing strategies based on customer needs, using a multibrand approach.
  • Supporting market research to uncover customer insights, pain points, and competitive dynamics.
  • Building business cases for new product opportunities, including pricing strategies and competitor benchmarking.
  • Managing the product roadmap and lifecycle to ensure timely development and market introduction.
  • Developing compelling value propositions, unique selling points (USPs), and product claims.
  • Collaborating with Business Development and R&D to evaluate and launch new products aligned with strategic goals.
  • Engaging directly with clinicians to test prototypes and gather feedback for product development.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven, in-depth experience in developing marketing concepts and strategies
  • 5–10 years of experience as a Category Manager or Product Manager, preferably in the dental and/or medical device industry.
  • Proven success in B2B environments, with a solid understanding of indirect sales channels and distributor networks.
  • A master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field relevant to the dental sector.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; proactive and confident in driving initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and resilience in overcoming challenges.
  • An open-minded, innovation-driven, and highly self-motivated personality.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German or other languages is a plus.
