The Opportunity:
We are looking for a dynamic Senior FP&A Analyst for Friendly Group with a strong background in the HVAC industry. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be a key part of the finance and accounting team supporting the executive team and operations within Friendly Group. This role will be instrumental in driving budget processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring seamless financial integration of acquired businesses. The ideal candidate will combine industry knowledge with strong analytical and communication skills to support our growth and operational efficiency. Although this is a remote position, the ideal candidate will reside in Texas, Arizona or Utah.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support the financial planning and analysis process including the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across HVAC business units
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Assist in writing monthly MD&A analysis for investors and support business leaders with on-demand financial analysis, insights and reporting as needed.
- Assist with tracking, reporting and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) utilizing BI tools and ongoing data management including supporting IT and operations with data validation.
- Support financial due diligence and integration planning for M&A transactions.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of board materials, investor presentations, and strategic planning documents.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Travel required – up to 20%
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the HVAC or other related home services industry.
- Experience in a high-growth or private equity-backed company.
- Demonstrated experience in M&A integration, including financial modeling and synergy tracking.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with working knowledge of other Microsoft suite products.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP Software products strongly preferred.
- Experience with Service Titan or similar cloud-based field service management software focused on trade companies strongly preferred.
- Experience with database and business intelligence tools strongly preferred (i.e. Sigma).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
