Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually

The Space Management Lead will provide expert oversight and leadership in managing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities portfolio, ensuring efficient space utilization, project execution, and compliance with federal space management policies.
Core Responsibilities:
• Leading the development and execution of space management plans, ensuring alignment with ICE’s operational and strategic goals.
• Supporting space acquisition, planning, and design efforts to optimize facility use and cost-effectiveness.
• Reviewing architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings for compliance with federal, state, and local standards, including ICE facilities guidelines and the International Building Code (IBC).
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders, General Services Administration (GSA), and other federal agencies to ensure efficient execution of leasing, new construction, and space reconfiguration projects.
• Assisting in the development of project documentation, including cost estimates, feasibility studies, and program requirements.
• Managing space utilization criteria, collocation, consolidation, and optimization efforts.
• Supporting budget planning, project prioritization, and compliance with DHS space allocation requirements.
• Overseeing data entry and quality control in the Real Property Management System (RPMS).
• Providing expertise on leasing policies, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) processes, and federal space acquisition regulations.
• Serving as the primary technical representative for ICE in liaising with GSA and other agencies
Requirements
Requirements for Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (Professional Engineer (PE) license or Architectural Registration).
• 5+ years of experience managing space planning and facilities projects with specialized mission requirements.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting architectural, interior design, and engineering plans.
• Familiarity with GSA leasing procedures and DHS/ICE facility operations.
• Experience in business process improvement related to space utilization and infrastructure planning.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior stakeholders and project teams.
Other Requirements:
• Experience with federal real property management, space planning, and facilities optimization.
• Proficiency in space planning software, CAD applications, and real property tracking systems.
• Ability to analyze operational requirements and translate them into space management strategies.
• Veteran preference considered.

• Must be able to pass background investigations including a FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) adjudication.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust clearance.
