Duties
Provides support services to members regarding escrow payments, adjustments, and disbursements.
Review, research and reconcile loan level escrow data in preparation for RESPA analysis completion which includes validating shortage/surplus results and updating disbursement amounts.
Review flood insurance data to address disputes and order new flood determinations accordingly.
Validate tax due date, bill amount, parcel information and payees for all appropriate tax records and validate policy period, premiums, coverage type, and payee for all appropriate insurance records on mortgage loans.
Track and reconcile escrow inconsistencies for newly originated loans.
Review and process escrow related refunds and cancellation requests.
Escalate higher level and more complex escrow issues accordingly.
Ability to troubleshoot basic escrow account issues, make informed decisions to administer escrow accounts and take actions necessary to ensure escrow accounts are appropriately maintained.
Ability to self-motivate and work with limited supervision.
Monitor and maintain loan information on the Mortgage Servicing System.
Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Four-year degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate in Arts degree or Associate in Science degree via the North Carolina College Transfer Program (NC-CTP) is preferred.
1-3 Years of Loan Servicing or Mortgage Servicing experience.
Thorough knowledge of federal, state regulations and GSE/Investor requirements related to Escrow Administration.
Thorough knowledge of tax and insurance escrow disbursements.
Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases. Black Knight/ICE experience is preferred.
Must be organized and able to manage detailed work accurately and timely. Must be able to prioritize responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change while prioritizing complex tasks and efficiently managing time.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Must possess a high level of self-control, self-confidence, positive attitude, and neat appearance.
Must be able to speak English fluently.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Must understand and be dedicated to the Credit Union philosophy and willing to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policies established by the Credit Union.
Job Environment
Office setting with physical proximity to other employees. Some background noise from other employees, copy machine, and telephone. In office with remote/hybrid work.
