The Director of Business Development – Foodservice organizes, plans, and executes sales initiatives for all Agropur products to maximize volume and profitability within budget limits. The clients under their responsibility are primarily regional and national accounts.

  • Salary Scale 006: $95,900 to $119,900(The base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, professional training, and job-related skills.)

What this role involves:

  • Prepare business plans by client/category to achieve sales and marketing objectives aligned with the strategic direction of both Agropur Canada and the client
  • Negotiate commercial agreements based on strategic objectives
  • Prepare and present monthly business and investment reviews to clients, highlighting opportunities and offering recommendations that benefit all parties
  • Manage day-to-day business development matters
  • Identify opportunities for Agropur to stand out from the competition by offering value-added products and services
  • Participate in setting sales and investment objectives by product category (budgets, volumes, costs) for each client
  • Always conduct post-audits of negotiation mandates and recommendations
  • Work within established budgets and always seek opportunities to improve sales spending efficiency
  • Act as a sales resource person for other departments within the organization

What you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development (preferably in industrial sales)
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, competitive trends, and profit and loss management
  • Bilingual (English and French) – Frequent communication with partners, clients, and/or employees outside Quebec
  • Good knowledge of standard software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel for business
