SUMMARYThis position’s primary responsibility will be for leading Kaizen and Quick Hit teams while also serving on Leane Six Sigma (LSS) teams to assist those teams in applying the LSS data analysis tools with more ease and proficiency. In addition, this individual will be responsible for producing and analyzing reporting that supports the Comporium Continuous Improvement Program (CCIP). Furthermore, this individual will be tasked with working with multiple workgroups to create meaningful change throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead teams to execute Kaizen Events and Quick Hits as assigned by the Director of Process Management. Beginning with a CCIP Hopper submission, determine requirements, form a team, and lead that team through the appropriate phases of the project concluding with a fully implemented improvement.
Participate as a team member on multiple LSS teams annually. Be the voice of the Central Department on project teams ensuring that LSS Black Belts are accurately applying LSS principles. Lighten the data analysis burden by assisting with procuring and analyzing project data.
Collaborate with Process Owners, LSS Black Belts, and Central Department leadership to produce routine reporting that illustrates the health of CCIP initiatives. This includes compiling control charts, performance charts, and financial results into a monthly summary and analyzing the findings to report actionable insights to the Director of Process Management and Comporium’s senior management team.
Analyze and provide actionable summaries of new submissions to the CCIP Hopper. Collaborate with the submitter to research the problem presented. Analyze the merits of the opportunity. Determine the project classification and verify if any overlap or interaction exists with other ideas in the CCIP Hopper.
Performs additional responsibilities as prescribed by the Director of Process Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred bachelor’s degree or 2 years Lean Six Sigma/Process Improvement experience
3-5 years of experience in a data analyst or project management role.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified through SCMEP or similarly structured program
- Ability to lead and teach a group of individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to transform data into relevant reports and perform analysis to draw insights useful for informing decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Detail oriented, asks clarifying questions if information appears to be lacking
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
- Experience using Lean Six Sigma tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Process and Value Stream mapping, SIPOC, etc. required
