Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Contracts & Pricing organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division Director Contracts & Sentinel Enterprise (D2). This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of the SDS contracts organization and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The candidate selected will be a direct report to the NGDS Sector Vice President of Contracts & Pricing and will be dotted line to the SDS Division Vice President and General Manager.
Located in Roy, UT, this position will be accountable for the SDS Contracts organization. The SDS Division has a varied portfolio of contract types and programs, including but not limited to: Sentinel, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) maintenance/sustainment, and other Advanced Programs.
This role has oversight for all the SDS Division contracts activities to include proposal submittal inclusive of risk review, development of negotiation strategies, contractual administration, and issue resolution in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies/procedures. This is a high-visibility position that requires regular interaction with and briefings to executive management at the Division, Sector, and Corporate levels. Additionally, regular interaction with SDS and other external customers is expected and required. The successful candidate must be proactive, strategic, work independently, act with a sense of urgency, and possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate must be able to lead a team of contracts professionals and develop highly effective customer relations. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate the ability to produce positive business outcomes and drive their respective teams to the highest potential resulting in exceptional functional knowledge and support, strong financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant professional experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive experience in managing contracts throughout the acquisition life cycle with a strong understanding of U.S. Government acquisition processes and regulations.
- Proven ability to review and approve contractual documents, ensuring protection of the company’s contractual posture and adherence to policy.
- Experience leading meetings with government customers or regulatory organizations.
- Experience providing strategic advice on contractual rights, interpretation of terms and conditions, and contractual strategy.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing and leading teams and working cross-functionally and cross-geographically.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance up to Top Secret.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Knowledge of SAP and/or Cost Point
