Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, self-motivated DevOps Engineer Intern for a 6-month internship opportunity. This is an excellent role for a candidate eager to learn and grow by contributing to the development and deployment of real-world manufacturing applications. The ideal intern will have personal coding projects or a GitHub portfolio to showcase and demonstrate their initiative and technical curiosity. This hybrid position requires in-office presence 1–3 times per week (schedule may vary).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, deployment, and maintenance of manufacturing software systems.
- Support infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate with engineers to automate deployment pipelines and configuration management.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
- Document technical processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint planning meetings.
- Help manage servers (Nginx, Apache) and optimize database interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a college or university program (engineering or related field)
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PHP).
- Comfortable working with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with web applications and how they interact with servers and databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with or interest in tools like GitHub, Terraform, Nginx, Apache is a plus.
- Understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
