Overview:

Do you thrive on challenges and want to be at the heart of a dynamic tax technology team? As a Lead Systems Analyst in Staff Technology Solutions, you'll play a crucial role in supporting tax technology for Chick-fil-A! Our team enables Digital Transformation Technology (DTT) systems and Financial Services staff to accurately and efficiently calculate, analyze, and remit sales and use tax for all Chick-fil-A transactions.

 

As a Lead Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Be the go-to Tax System Subject Matter Expert (SME) on high performance / high availability APIs and full-stack applications that support Chick-fil-A's Direct to Consumer, Third Party, and Business to Business ecosystems.
  • Leverage your technical prowess, sharp problem-solving skills, in-depth system knowledge, and business insight to collaborate with stakeholders in creating, designing, and supporting cutting-edge tax solutions.
  • Support multiple platforms and take a lead role in building diverse systems and initiatives, including pioneering new sales channels and innovative lines of business.
  • Be a pivotal player in various projects, working with numerous teams, as you support tax implications across all financial transactions (sales, invoices, etc.).

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for defining requirements, identifying technical solutions, execution of technical tasks, creation of documentation (requirements, process maps, test plans, etc.), and communication with functional partners.
  • Support and troubleshoot high complexity and/or business impacting issues and assist other team members with lower complexity issues.
  • Communicate with functional partners or vendors related to assigned areas of work.
  • Regularly assist with software releases, integrations, and speak into the lifecycle of the systems within the tax domain.
  • Considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and responsible for the definition and execution of a monitoring strategy across tax systems.
  • Understand all aspects of multiple systems including how they interact with and/or impact other systems or business processes.
  • Influence strategy, lifecycle, and design decisions for system.
  • Lead project teams and use system and technical knowledge to implement functionality.
  • Influence the direction of areas of responsibility and consistently make significant contributions and some decisions towards vision, strategy, and design.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting systems hosted in AWS
  • Experience with test, monitoring, and analytical tools such as datadog, Postman, & cloudwatch 
  • Experience interfacing to cloud-hosted databases with SQL
  • Experience supporting tax technology systems
  • Self-starter who completes responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in the use of AWS resources, Postman, datadog
  • Proficient in writing sql-based queries
  • AWS Cloud practitioner
