SALARY: The salary range for this position is $59,661.54 to $96,767.80 for Schedule A, and $59,661.54 to $91,929.42 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The New Jersey Judiciary seeks a dynamic individual with excellent customer service skills, technical competence, strong communication skills, and a desire to train municipal court staff under the direction of the Administrative Supervisor 3 (Policy and Procedures Unit, Municipal Court Services).
The selected individual will be expected to effectively manage multiple projects and provide professional support to the Administrative Office of the Courts’ Municipal Court training programs. This position requires someone with subject matter expertise as the topics covered in the Principles of Municipal Court Administration (POMCA) program and Professional Development Classes (PDC) take an in-depth look at municipal court processes, policies, and procedures. This professional will display a high standard of ethical conduct; compose correspondence, reports, and other written material that is clear, concise, and well organized. A strong working knowledge of the judiciary’s municipal court computer applications and use of virtual platforms are a plus. Proficiency in Excel, ACCESS, PowerPoint, FORMS and Word preferred.
Note: This position will require travel throughout the state of New Jersey.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Position Duties
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
- Facilitate, moderate and conduct instructor-led training programs both in-person and virtually
- Act as a lead worker of the Policy and Procedures Unit
- Serve as a technical liaison for all judiciary electronic systems used by the municipal courts and provide troubleshooting assistance.
- Provide administrative support to the Principles of Municipal Court Administration (POMCA) Training Unit
- Create and maintain training records
- Organize training logistics and assemble training materials
- Evaluate and coordinate purchase of training materials
- As a member of the training team, create and continually update Principles of Municipal Court Administration (POMCA) and Professional Development Class (PDC) course curriculum and training materials
- Administer/grade testing at both live and virtual classes
- Prepare correspondence, certificates and notifications to students, court administrators and municipal division staff
- Perform training needs analysis
- Collect and analyze data
- Determine resources necessary for accomplishing goals of team
- Work on multiple assignments, while ensuring effective time management and prioritization
- Participate in other projects as requested by management
- Prepare written reports, non-routine correspondence and any other administrative work as requested by the unit
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience. A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Other Qualifications
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
