Senior Account Manager
INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an Account Executive to join our general accounts team!
Local candidates preferred; we are a hybrid work environment.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The General Accounts Team works with various clients from different industries, and the team develops and presents strategic brand initiatives that deliver on the client’s business objectives. We partner with cross-functional teams to develop disruptive ideas at all points of the customer journey. The team includes Brand Management, Creative, Social Media management, Media, Production and Experiential.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Account Executive will manage the day-to-day business on the General Account Team.
The Account Management team will be an extension of our client’s team, and relationship management and rising to the occasion are important. This role requires working closely with clients and providing education and onboarding where needed, as well as collaboration with project management, media, finance, creative, experiential and production teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates the planning and execution of advertising activities, including traffic responsibilities, for clients within budget and time limitations.
- Guides day-to-day development of advertising activities within approved plans. Ensures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to handle multiple tasks and deadlines meet aggressive schedules.
- Provides effective and efficient use of agency resources and processes to ensure projects are delivered as promised in terms of content, time and budget.
- Understands the expectations of, and communicate effectively with, all agency team members.
- Identify, classify, categorize and be able to retrieve information as required by you or agency team members.
- Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: conference reports, job starters, assignment summaries.
- Review and consult on media plan requests, buy authorizations, and estimates.
- Contribute to the development of project and/or annual client planning documents, as required.
- Adherence to financial and operating procedures; prepares client job requests, routes, finalize and distribute billing for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor project estimates vs. time and cost, including maintaining up-to-date, accurate budget tracking as required. Responsible for alerting Account Supervisor/team of any potential cost issues.
- Prepare client visit materials that are clear and concise, examples include but not limited to content development, creative presentation, and delivery, as necessary. Must be able to present an insightful point of view on client assignments and/or new opportunities with clarity, authority, and persuasion.
- Prepare and distribute project and creative trackers/summaries to clients
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3+ years of Account Management experience at an advertising agency
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to time manage, meet deadlines and multi-task
- Comfortable presenting and communicating with client and internal teams
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, diligence, and sense of ownership
- Proactive thinker, communicator, and problem-solver
- Knowledgeable in MS software (Word, Power Point, and Excel), Google Docs and highly skilled in presentation deck development (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc)

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000. Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training, transferable skills, and client.
