Job Summary:
This 6-month contract role is focused on driving customer retention and engagement through strategic lifecycle marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Strategy

  • Build and implement personalized lifecycle marketing strategies across email, push, in-app, and blog channels.
  • Own monthly messaging calendars and quarterly planning for creator communications.

Campaign Management

  • Create and optimize automated, segmented campaigns using lifecycle stages and behavioral insights.
  • Conduct A/B tests and performance analysis to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Analytics (attribution, segmentation), UX (journey mapping), Sales & BD (inventory alignment), and Product Marketing (feature alignment and messaging).
  • Provide QA for all marketing messages and ensure messaging consistency across channels.

Operational & Technical Oversight

  • Identify and resolve targeting or messaging conflicts.
  • Recommend CRM and data tooling enhancements to Product and Engineering.
  • Stay current on email deliverability and CRM best practices.

Qualifications:

  • CRM, email and retention experience with demonstrated experience in audience segmentation, and building, deploying and optimizing campaigns.
  • Experience working in DTC/B2C and/or B2B a must; retail fashion marketing experience a plus.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of CRM platform capabilities and service providers.
  • Experience using data to develop, measure, and optimize marketing strategies to drive customer demand.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Growth mindset, passion for bringing creativity to the direct-to-consumer marketing process.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a good sense of prioritization.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in on all kinds of projects, sometimes outside of normal day-to-day work.
     

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 5+ years digital marketing experience with campaign analysis and optimization

t the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $50-$60 per hr. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
