Briljent is seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst / Technical Subject-Matter Specialist IV to lead a 500-hour consulting engagement for a state Department of Health (DOH). You will assess the agency’s existing Salesforce Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions (PSS) orgs, document current-state processes, define future-state design principles, and deliver an actionable expansion roadmap that improves Medicaid / HHS operations and stakeholder experience.

Briljent is seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst / Technical Subject-Matter Specialist IV to lead a 500-hour consulting engagement for a state Department of Health (DOH). You will assess the agency’s existing Salesforce Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions (PSS) orgs, document current-state processes, define future-state design principles, and deliver an actionable expansion roadmap that improves Medicaid / HHS operations and stakeholder experience.
**This role will require minimal travel to New York.**
Essential Duties
Facilitation & Analysis
- Plan and run discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture requirements, pain points, and future goals
- Produce clear design principles and guardrails for scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions
Technical Assessment
- Conduct a comprehensive org health check (metadata, code, data model, integrations, security, performance, compliance)
- Document findings, risks, and remediation priorities; present recommendations to executive and technical audiences
Road-mapping & Delivery
- Create a phased PSS expansion roadmap—including timeline, resourcing, quick wins, and long-term initiatives
- Draft Agile user stories and mentor client staff on backlog creation and prioritization
Collaboration
- Coordinate with Salesforce, DOH IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security, data governance, and performance standards
- Provide ad-hoc configuration advice and knowledge transfer to accelerate adoption of out-of-the-box functionalityPlan and run discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture requirements, pain points, and future goals

Required Skills
- Deep expertise configuring Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Public Sector Solutions in large healthcare or Medicaid environments.
- Advanced ability to elicit requirements, write high-quality Agile user stories, and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills in a consulting context.
- Self-directed with proven success meeting aggressive deadlines and delivering high-impact deliverables.
- Active Salesforce Administrator and Service Cloud Consultant certifications.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressively responsible Salesforce business-analysis experience, including three or more full-lifecycle implementations.
- Prior client-facing leadership on healthcare IT or Medicaid projects.
- Desirable credentials: Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CBAP, Agile Scrum Master, or comparable certifications.
