Now, we’re looking for a National Director Business Development to expand our reach by recruiting Independent Advisors who fit our ideal client profile - $50m-$500m AUM, looking to build or transition their business, want more than just an upfront check. What You’ll Do
- Lead recruitment of high-caliber, growth-minded, Independent Financial Advisors across the Northeast region.
- Build strong pipelines through your network, referrals, and relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs), third-party recruiters, custodians, and our own Advisor community.
- Become a trusted guide for prospective Advisors — from first intro to signed LOI — helping them understand how partnering with RFG Advisory can increase enterprise value and eliminate friction.
- Collaborate with our B2B marketing team on campaign strategy and HubSpot engagement workflows.
- Prepare prospect presentations and agendas for VIP onsite visits to Birmingham HQ; travel for VIP dinners and recruitment events.
- Meet or exceed recruiting AUM and KPI targets tied to Business Development OKRs.
- Work cross-functionally with leadership to deliver insight, momentum, and results.

What You Bring
- 7–10+ years of business development experience in the independent Advisor channel, with a proven record of recruiting 1099 Advisors.
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, Marketing, or related field). Advanced degree a plus.
- Deep understanding of the RIA/independent advisory world and the needs of entrepreneurial Advisors.
- High EQ and strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strategic thinking paired with data-savvy execution (pro formas, LOIs, etc.).
- HubSpot or similar CRM fluency.
- Self-starter with a collaborative spirit — able to work independently and across teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
