The Delivery Consultant III serves as a senior-level resource for the implementation, optimization, and support of electronic health record (EHR) modules across diverse clinical specialties. This role engages directly with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders to configure, test, and maintain EHR solutions tailored to specialty workflows such as Radiology, Laboratory, Cardiology, Pharmacy, and more. The consultant leads advanced troubleshooting, contributes to strategic application planning, and ensures specialty systems align with clinical, regulatory, and operational standards.Required Behaviors:

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, information systems, clinical technology, or a related field, or equivalent healthcare IT experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting or implementing EHR applications within hospital settings
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows and system configuration across one or more specialty areas (e.g., Radiology, Lab, Cardiology, Pharmacy, Surgery, Oncology)
- Experience with system configuration, user support, and integration testing for specialty modules
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior staff
- Understanding of healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS regulations
- Manage relationships with trust, honesty, respect, and integrity
- Ability to consistently provide world-class and excellent customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), Epic, or other major EHR systems in specialty modules
- Certifications in specific EHR modules or clinical systems (e.g., RadNet, PathNet, FirstNet, PharmNet)
- Background in clinical specialty operations or direct clinical experience
- Experience with HL7 interfaces, device integration, and ancillary system workflows
- Involvement in system selection, build, go-live, and optimization initiatives across clinical specialties
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior resource for implementing and supporting EHR modules across specialty clinical areas
- Lead specialty-specific configuration, testing, go-live, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with clinicians and technical teams to ensure workflows align with department needs
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal IT teams
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical content such as order sets, documentation templates, and preference lists
- Support user onboarding, training, and ongoing education within specialty departments
- Perform gap analyses and recommend enhancements to improve EHR usability and clinical efficiency
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support processes
- Participate in upgrades, enhancements, and interface testing to support specialty modules
- Represent specialty departments in hospital EHR governance committees and project planning
- Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and security standards in system design and use
- Monitor system usage and performance metrics to support data-driven improvements
- Lead or participate in multidisciplinary workgroups focused on clinical transformation and EHR optimization
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex specialty support issues
- Coordinate with vendors and application analysts on roadmap planning and system innovation

- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
- Regularly on-site during scheduled shifts and quickly responsive, remote support when allowed or approved, occasional travel
- Primarily office-based, frequent computer use; could involve long-term walking, standing, bending, or assisting with physical aspects of projects in clinical or administrative areas. Rounding during go-lives is common
- Lifting and carrying of IT hardware and materials up to fifty (50) pounds
- Participation in scheduled shift coverage and on-call support for emergencies, maintenance, and upgrades
