The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As a Senior Project Design Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to provide organizational and project support to the Artwork and Labeling Department by working directly with a cross-functional team, external translation suppliers, as well as internal Design Production Artists to coordinate and execute activities related to the development of packaging and labeling items for the launch and maintenance of Abbott Diabetes Care products (e.g. FreeStyle Libre). This is an onsite role in Alameda, CA.
What You’ll Work On
Independently coordinate the efficient use of Artwork and Labeling Development resources to meet deadlines for new product releases and product revisions.
Coordinate with internal cross-functional team to receive and implement input to product labeling.
Coordinate the translation of packaging and labeling items with translation supplier.
Interpret project schedules and escalate project timeline risks to management.
Support assessment for projects to identify scope and impact to labeling.
Create change control packages in product life cycle management system for packaging and labeling components.
Assist with on-boarding, training, and mentoring of new hires/contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience including coordinating and executing project activities, with at least 1 year focus in product labeling.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment, set priorities and remain flexible to changes.
- Computer literacy with PC platform. Microsoft Office Suite: Mid-level experience
- Ability to work on premises for core working hours of department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exhibits excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with both internal and external customers
- Strong interpersonal skills, must be service oriented.
- Displays solid organizational skills, with the flexibility to quickly realign priorities to meet changing business needs.
- Ability to work on premises for core working hours of department.
- Knowledge in legal aspects of packaging, trademarks, and promotions is helpful but not a required.
- Background in print production is preferred but not required.

The base pay for this position is
$86,700.00 – $173,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
