The Role
Trillium is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the Managing Director of Trading in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operations, and facilitating business development efforts. This hybrid role combines elements of business development and chief of staff responsibilities, requiring strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent communication and relationship management skills, and the ability to execute initiatives that contribute to the firm’s long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities to expand Trillium’s trading and technology capabilities.
- Conduct financial analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including trading, technology, and operations, to execute business development strategies and new trading initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between trading, executive leadership, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Organize and track key deliverables, follow-ups, and timelines for trading projects.
- Monitor and analyze market structure changes, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies that impact trading and markets.
- Prepare executive summaries, reports, and presentations to keep leadership informed on key initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in trading operations, strategy, consulting, or business development.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and execute projects independently.
- Skilled in project management, business analysis, and modeling; experience using Jira, or a similar product, will be helpful.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Location: This is a hybrid role based in NYC
Compensation and Perks
- The reasonably estimated salary for this role is $100,000- $130,000 + additional bonus if applicable. Actual compensation is based on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
