Description

Summit Home Care and Hospice is searching for an eager and motivated HR Assistant to join our team. We’re committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services in the comfort of our patients' homes to positively impact quality of life by redefining the delivery of care.  

HR Assistant: 

  • Location: 800 Yard St. Suite 300 Columbus, OH 43212 

  • Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (40 Hours/Week) 

  • Training: On-Site 5 Days/Week 

  • Hybrid Schedule (Post-Training): 2 Days in Office & 3 Days WFH  

  • Pay Rate: $20.00 -$22.00 per Hour 

Responsibilities: 

  • The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource and talent acquisition departments. 

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS. 

  • Monitors HR Inbox and answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.  

  • Refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. 

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. 

  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. 

  • Provides clerical support to the HR department. 

  • Supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 

  • Facilitates new hire onboarding and ensures completion of all required paperwork and training. 

  • Prepares and sends offer letters and Onboarding documents. 

  • Conducts background screenings. 

  • Assists in sourcing candidates for clinical and non-clinical roles. 

  • Coordinates interview schedules and communicates with candidates throughout the hiring process. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications


Education/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems (ATS), human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.   

  • Prior related office experience preferred. 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are required. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
