Phoenix Senior Living is seeking a Sales Specialist to join their team!
Please note this position requires 100% travel to KY, MO, FL, GA, NC, SC, VA, AL, LA and AR
The Sales Specialist reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing
The Sales Specialist is responsible for hands on sales execution at assigned communities through generating new sales leads, converting leads to move-ins and helping to implement necessary Phoenix sales systems. The Sales Specialist is responsible for overseeing sales at his/her assigned community in addition to other challenged communities assigned to him/her by the Vice President of Sales.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management
- Studies the Market and contributes to the creation and implementation of a dynamic, successful Marketing Plan.
- Uses discretion and independent judgment in identifying referral sources and how much time to devote to particular marketing strategies.
- Collaborates with Regional Directors of Operations (RDO)/ Community Engagement Directors (CED) and Executive Directors (ED) in assigned market to help identify external business opportunities
Analysis/Reporting
- Provides detailed and accurate weekly and monthly sales and marketing productivity reports, critical success factors (comparing industry trends), including analysis, to the community Executive Director and/or Phoenix senior operations team
- Manages sales and marketing data, audits, training, analysis, and implementation
- Maintains a thorough working proficiency of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) lead tracking database and keeps all contact records current.
- Ensures inquiry forms are always available at the front desk
- Ensures qualified leads are entered into the CRM database
- Completes Sales Action Plan upon community assignment
- Assist Community Engagement Director of designated communities with completing Marketing Plans.
- Understands competitive opportunities & threats and presents strategic alternatives to combat these to the Executive Director and Regional Sales Team

- Works in partnership with Home Office Sales and Marketing Support to insure new lead generating activity has appropriate marketing support to maximize effectiveness
- Provides customer service by responding to Home Office phone, mail, or email inquiries and appropriately communicating to the community(ies) and Regional Support Team
- Positively influences and impacts sales activities for the community
- Assures that occupancy and sales productivity goals are consistently met
- Meets or exceeds standards in sales productivity
- Conducts tours with prospective residents and their families
- Personally closes new sales in the community
- Implements, monitors, and promotes resident referral programs to generate new referrals
- Conducts professional outreach for lead generation purposes
- Maximizes occupancy and revenue opportunities for the community

- Gathers competitive market analysis data and maintains a detailed competitor comparative analysis
Training
- Partners in the delivery and participation in PSLU training and self-study programs during the required time-frame.
- Conducts one on one training with Community Engagement Directors, where assigned
- Completes All Phoenix Academy training and job specific and management training in the timeframe designated
- Attend a CED Phoundations class within first 90 days
- Completes all state required training
Skills and Abilities
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Windows, Power Point, Excel software
- Ability to be flexible and work in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to relate in a positive and professional way to a diverse resident and employee population
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, employees, staff and the community
