Position:
Associate Software EngineerPosition Summary:
Assists a collaborative team that develops and maintains systems and applications. Participates in all phases of development life-cycle for less complex projects from initial requirements gathering and design to basic coding and testing of our suite of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based products.Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle while working with cross-functional team members in a highly collaborative development environment.
- Follows the design and development practices for RESTful web-services in a Service-Oriented Architecture.
- Follows the design and development practices for the data access layer that interfaces with relational and NoSQL data stores
- Learns and follows industry best practices for software development.
- Helps ensure industry excellence by contributing to developing company standards for software development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in software engineering or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
- Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques and methodologies
- General knowledge of open-source web application frameworks
- General knowledge of schema design and data access methodologies in both relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work constructively in a collaborative team environment
- Good problem-solving, researching, and design skills
Preferred
- Experience with Open-Source projects
- Hands-on experience in the Cloud, specifically AWS
- Experience within an Agile environment
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Experience in JavaScript or Python
- Experience in React, Angular or Svelte
- Experience in Spark or distributed data processing
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
The hiring range for this position is:
