About the Business Intelligence Account Manager: 
MarketStar is looking for a Business Intelligence Account Manager to support our analytics team. The Business Intelligence (BI) Account Manager role is the bridge between Business Intelligence and the customers we serve. This role provides insights and vision to client services around what Business Intelligence can offer their teams and how to engage with these resources. 

Location: Ogden, UT - Hybrid

 
What Will You Do? 

  • Lead a team of data analysts and reporting specialists, providing guidance, prioritization, and mentorship across BI tools and client engagements 

  • Meet with client services on regular basis to review current BI outputs and services 

  • Consult with client services management on opportunities for BI to help drive success. 

  • Represent BI during client meetings. This includes presenting findings from analysis and taking questions, scoping tasks, and advising based on data 

  • Prioritize reporting and analytics tasks for client teams including manage process from scope to completion to maintenance 

  • Create process and set expectations around reporting requests and delivery 

  • Work with internal BI groups to improve products, processes, and outputs. 

  • Help drive understanding and engagement within client services for BI outputs and services 

  • Keep up to date on BI practices, procedures, and skills (Salesforce, Google sheets, Excel online, SQL, Power BI) 

  • Learn assigned business units’ practices, procedures, models, and outputs. 

  • Work with Report Developers and other stakeholders to perform quality assurance checks on the reporting output to ensure data accuracy. 

  • Perform quarterly audits on reporting data and access to adhere to industry data security standards. 

  • Other applicable duties as assigned. 

What Will You Need to Succeed? 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, statistics, computer science or mathematics related fields 

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment 

  • Flexible and ability to pivot quickly while clearly communicating to stakeholders and team 

  • Experience/education in data analysis 

  • Experience in account management. 

  • Understanding of statistics, math and general analytics. 

  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and data tables 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills 

  • Must have efficient time management skills, organized, and customer service oriented 

  • Ability to translate technical terms to a non-technical audience. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Knowledge of database techniques and technologies 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing, statistics, computer science or mathematics related fields

This is an exempt position. 

 

The salary range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $90,000.00   annually. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $10,000.00 annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills. Your recruiter will provide more detailed information during the interview process.
