Who you are:

Archipelago is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for a front-end engineer who knows their way around React to help us develop an online platform (we’d need your help with the web side of things). We’re a small growing engineering team distributed around the US & Europe. We iterate quickly, ship every day, build for the long term, and are looking for smart, independent engineers who want to ply their trade with like-minded people.

Key Outcomes you are responsible for:

• In collaboration with product initiative owners support Monthly Active User growth through developing and supporting customer first user experiences.
• Support user growth experiments through developing quick prototypes with product and design in production.
• Maintain and improve quality, performance, architecture, and security of existing functionality.
• Bring your expertise to mentor and grow not just junior engineers but the whole squad.

Key Metrics & Results to measure your success:

• Monthly Active Users for functionality your squad owns.
• Test coverage through unit and cypress tests.
• Page load performance.
• Shipping frequently.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of frontend SaaS application development experience
• Experience building responsive and cross-browser compatible web applications with a strong UI focus
• Production environment coding experience with React, Typescript, and Graphql.
• Proven track record of delivering highly-performant and scalable software solutions, and commitments to demanding business customers.
• Knowledge of best practices & patterns for large scale web applications.
• Work independently as part of a distributed team.
• Great communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
