Overview:

Come join us in Firm Strategy, where we strive to unleash the full potential of data and AI to address business challenges. As a Data Scientist on our team, you will design, develop and deliver data science solutions requiring advanced mathematical methods, statistical and machine learning models in support of data-driven strategies. You will combine data from multiple sources to develop innovative solutions to business problems and collaborate with business partners and other data scientists to develop tailored analytic solutions that inform and influence decisions across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business partners to design, develop and deploy solutions that enable hyper-personalized interactions.
  • Use machine learning, numerical optimization, and statistical modeling to discover and explain patterns in data.
  • Create features and develop models beyond standard toolset libraries to meet unique business challenges.
  • Proactively interpret and communicate findings and insights from the data to business partners. Clear communication without technical jargon is important to success.
  • Execute projects from design and data-gathering, through implementation, final delivery, and monitoring.
  • Define data needs and evaluate data quality for applicability to posed problems.
  • Rapidly optimize data and model inputs to increase predictiveness and relevance in response to changes in data availability, data quality, or business specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science Degree in a quantitative field required. PhD degree desired.
  • 5+ years professional experience.
  • Proficiency with one or more computing languages (Python, SQL).
  • Ability to deliver capabilities that derive insights or novel ideas from data and mathematical models using best data science practices. Connect insights to desired research or business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new algorithms and tools, e.g. GenAI, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing platforms and distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
