The Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) organization helps our customers realize the value of Microsoft’s Security portfolio by gathering requirements, acting on customer feedback and using data to drive feature feedback and product truth back to our feature PMs, engineers, and security researchers. The team is also chartered to help scale in depth product and operationalization knowledge to support the service’s incredible growth. As part of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to build strategy, lead processes across multiple teams, collaborate with product leadership, representing the voice of the customer to engineering teams and have the flexibility to impact with a creative approach. The Product Manager for data compliance and privacy will help win deals, support field and customers in understanding solution value and alignment to the practice of privacy, quickly onboard customers to the service enabling consumption, deliver top-notch customer enablement, drivs deep and meaningful feedback to engineering while informing the roadmap, and ensures a great customer and partner experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop a understanding of customer needs and challenges, market pressures, and business opportunity. Be grounded in customer and business requirements and be the voice of the customer.
- Provide subject matter expertise and lead technical and compliance conversations to prioritize, define, and validate data privacy compliance.
- Work with customers to understand their data compliance requirements across different business verticals and help the team develop roadmaps to achieve these requirements. Partner with engineering product teams across Microsoft Security to identify trends and achieve data privacy requirements as One Microsoft.
- Ability to understand existing privacy tools in the market.
- Work with customers to onboard and support their data compliance and privacy needs.
- Collaborative attitude coupled with ability to work toward customer & business goals.
- Great communication and presentation skills.
- Personal drive and impact with a desire to make things happen.
- Technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly understand service capabilities.
- Experience in cross-group, cross-functional engineering roles.
- Outstanding customer focus.
- 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 2+ years of experience with any of the following: Compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, data retention, data minimization, data access measures, risk management, regulatory policy ,such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation),HIPAA (Health Insurance
- Portability and Accountability), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
- Technical aptitude with a deep understanding of data and cloud services.
