Business Development Specialist Paving

Job Purpose

  • Establishment and expansion of Topcon’s paving business. Main focuses are on 3D solutions for milling and paving but also on digitalization of the whole paving process.
  • Acquisition of new distributors and service providers, and supporting all sales through existing distributors / subsidiaries for this product portfolio.
  • Part of the work assignment will be to get in contact with tendering authorities and private project owners to add our solutions into tenders.

Core Duties

  • Work to build up a network with the most important customers / partners / stakeholders in the area.
  • Responsible for maximizing the sales of the paving portfolio within the designated region in line with the agreed sales budgets.
  • Understand the paving industry and create business with existing and new stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Topcon’s Sales and Marketing Teams to provide business solutions.
  • Creating and supporting events for distributors, subsidiaries, authorities, universities and similar.
  • Get in contact with tendering authorities and private project owners to add Topcon’s paving portfolio to tenders.
  • Acquire new and support (focusing on sales) existing distributors for this product portfolio

Education And Experience

  • Civil engineer or similar
  • 5+ years' experience in paving and construction business
  • Salesmen with a technical understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Affinity for digitization
  • Ability of building trusted long-term professional relationships
  • A basic know-how for survey will be an advantage
  • Able to present in front of deciders in local and English language.
  • Willingness working in a virtual team
  • Good skills at MS-Office
  • Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce / SAP)
  • Driving license (car)

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to visit jobsites includes walks over rough terrain.
  • Working from home in Ireland (home-office) with a willingness for traveling to the whole region responsible for, with exceptional trips within the EMEA Region.
  • This position requires up to 50% travel.
  • Working on exhibitions is also a part of this job.
