About the role: You will form an integral part of their Agile tech team which is responsible for creating and maintaining the software that allows their platform to function. You’ll also be responsible for:
- Maintain and develop new features on their software platform. You'll apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of their software.
- Make sure the software you develop is secure and safe concerning information security & personal data.
- Actively participate in meetings and projects and coordinate with your team members. It is also expected for you to continue to develop yourself and keep abreast of new developments.
- Document your work and make sure that your documentation is clear and understandable for future use by others.
- Be part of the rituals and practices of Agile methodologies.
Requirements
- To be based in Portugal/Kenya/South Africa.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of working experience using several Java backend tools and frameworks.
- You don't want to just write code, you want to make it with quality and scalable.
- Experience within Microservices, and AWS will be an advantage.
- You are willing to learn. They use SpringBoot, JUnit, Testcontainers, and Flyway, among others (You aren't required to have experience with the specific tools they are currently using, they can help you).
