Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer , you will be a key player in our technology team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our financial products. You will work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to oversee code releases, manage infrastructure, and ensure high availability of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS EC2.
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud resources for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Containerization & Orchestration:
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement Kubernetes configurations using Helm for managing complex deployments.
  • Work with lightweight Kubernetes distributions like K3s for edge or small-scale clusters.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Build and manage infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistent, repeatable infrastructure across environments.
  • Manage backup solutions using Velero Backup for Kubernetes environments.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management:
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitLab Runner to automate code integration, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure smooth operations of pipelines, collaborating with development teams for faster, more reliable releases.
  • Storage & Backup Solutions:
  • Manage and optimize storage solutions, including Longhorn for persistent storage in Kubernetes.
  • Implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and high availability across environments.
  • Linux Systems Administration:
  • Maintain and optimize Linux servers, ensuring security, stability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud-based and on-premise environments.
  • Monitoring & Security:
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and quick resolution of potential issues.
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure all deployments and infrastructure follow security best practices.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS EC2.
  • Containerization: Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and K3s.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform and Ansible for automated deployments.
  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitLab Runner for managing continuous integration and deployment.
  • Backup & Recovery: Experience with Velero Backup for Kubernetes and Longhorn for distributed block storage.
  • Linux Systems: Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Shell scripting) for automation tasks.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git and version control systems like GitLab.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Certifications in GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices.
  • Security: Experience in implementing security best practices for cloud and container environments.
  • Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams.
