MULTIBASE™ is seeking a Key Account Manager f/h for Specialty Masterbaches (SiMB) and plastics compounds based in France.

Specialty Masterbatches encompass a wide range of silicone-based additives and masterbatches to enhance the properties and processability of popular thermoplastic resins. Thermoplastic elastomer compounds predominantly serve the needs of the transportation industry.

The Key Account Manager will have a focus on the Channel Management (distributors) across the whole Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

The successful candidate will sell both specialty and more standard thermoplastic products and thus possess both a strong technical aptitude and excellent commercial acumen.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a pipeline of new business in DuPont’s specialty Silicone additive masterbatch and TPE/TPO thermoplastic compound product lines
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management and R&D functions to identify prospective customers in strategic and tactical segments
  • Identify and engage constructively with key external decision makers and influencers
  • Monitor Distributor performance and geographical coverage to grow the footprint
  • Develop Account Plans to identify account-specific opportunity and gain cross-functional alignment on strategy and actions. Partner for higher results.
  • Organize and facilitate product trainings at and with Channel partners


The position requires to travel regularly across the region and will report to the EMEA Sales Director for Adhesives and Fluids, and Multibase business.

Job requirements :

  • A minimum of 5 years’ commercial &/or technical experience in polymer compounds and specialty additives
  • University degree in plastics engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Proven track record in getting results by exercising sales excellence & best practices
  • Self-starter, independent achiever and highly motivated. Market orientation.
  • Demonstrable ability to “open doors”, network effectively across levels and functions, develop relationships and identify customer needs
  • Solid commercial negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Familiarity and proficiency in using CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Fluent in French and English, other European languages are a plus.


Location :

The position is based in Paris or close to Lyon/Saint-Laurent-Du-Pont.
