We have a red hot opportunity for a front-end Intermediate Angular Developer to join our Java software development team at Super Group.


Super Group is a listed company with a global footprint in the supply chain & logistics, vehicle dealerships and mobility industries. Our software developers work on an awesome and progressive technology stack creating powerful software solutions for a number of Super Group companies.


Our need is to place a strong Intermediate Angular Developer who has at least 5 (five) years' experience in software development, plus exposure to the latest versions of Angular.


You will work closely with our full stack and back-end Java developers and a dedicated product owner to ensure that we deliver top notch software products to our customers. You will form part of a close-knit team that values quality in their work outputs.


Your duties and responsibilities will include –


  • Build high quality front-end applications with the latest technologies
  • Maintenance and support of all front-end applications run by Super Group
  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
  • Provide guidance and support to junior developers in the team


Our ideal developer is eager to take on new assignments, learn new frameworks and grow both personally and professionally. You will provide a high standard of support on everything relating to front-end development within our Java team. A successful Angular Developer at Super Group is expected to create custom modules and components, which extend the elements of Angular.


Skills and experience


  • 5 (five) or more years’ experience as a software developer
  • Angular 9+
  • Proficient with TypeScript and HTML5
  • MongoDB, Node.js
  • NPM component packaging and NgRX for state management
  • Ionic experience is advantageous


Competencies and/or Knowledge


  • At least 3-5 years’ experience with Angular
  • Proven experience working in Angular 9+
  • Knowledge of MVC, MVVM architecture patterns
  • Familiarity with agile environments/ Agile software development methodologies
  • Troubleshooting and handling escalations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills


Practical demands

  • SGITS is based in Sandton (Johannesburg, Gauteng). Our preference is that the candidate is based within the greater Johannesburg metropolitan area.
  • Remote working options are available, subject to business needs and management approval. You may be required to come into the office from time to time, our Office is situated in Sandton.

Qualifications
