Your mission

We're looking for a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist specialising in Monetization, User Experience and lifecycle management to help scale our social discovery app. In this role, you will play a key role in enhancing the app’s user journey, maximizing engagement, and driving conversion across various monetization streams. Together with the General Manager & Head of Growth, your mission is defining our CRO strategy, to optimize user experiences and increase key metrics such as in-app purchases, ad engagement, and overall user retention. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that every interaction within the app leads to meaningful outcomes for both the user and the business.

The perfect fit for this role is someone who’s practically a pro at diving into data to define user segments, designing visually appealing campaigns and developing growth tactics that are both innovative and effective.



What you’ll be doing

Lead App Monetization : Oversee the full lifecycle of CRO campaigns, from planning and execution to delivery. Manage e-mail, in-app, and push notification campaigns focused on driving user engagement and monetization.

Campaign Design : Develop innovative CRO campaign concepts, including coordinating the creation of text and image content. Ensure that campaigns are personalized and optimized for user segments, delivering the right message at the right time.

Data-Driven Strategy : Implement a test-and-learn approach, using data to inform campaign strategy based on user lifecycle, value, and behavior. Collaborate with the Experimentation Lead to foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

User Behavior Analysis : Analyze how users interact with the Hoop app, identify pain points, and develop targeted strategies to enhance conversion rates. Create custom optimization plans based on user segments and behavioral data.

A/B Testing : Design and execute A/B tests on app features, user flows, and calls to action (CTAs) to determine the most effective approaches. Share insights and promote best practices for testing across the team.

Optimize User Journeys : Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to refine and streamline the user journey from onboarding to conversion, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, user acquisition, and creative teams to align CRO efforts with broader growth objectives, ensuring cohesive strategies across all touchpoints.


What you’ll need to succeed

Analytical Expertise : You have extensive experience in data analysis and interpretation, using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Hotjar to derive actionable insights.

CRO Tools Mastery : You’re proficient in A/B testing and multivariate testing platforms, driving continuous optimization across multiple digital marketing channels.

User-Centric Approach : You understand user behavior deeply, particularly within mobile apps, and are adept at creating seamless user journeys that drive retention and monetization.

Experience in B2C Mobile Apps : You’ve worked with consumer-facing mobile apps, ideally within social, gaming, or discovery contexts, handling millions of users to grow retention and monetization.

Growth and CRM Expertise : With a background as a Growth Manager or CRM Manager, you focus on customer relationship marketing and lifecycle management, designing and executing campaigns conceptually, and operationally.

Data-Driven Strategy : You always take an analytical approach to understanding user behavior, planning around data-driven insights, and backing your decisions with metrics.

Marketing Automation Knowledge : You have experience with marketing automation tools like Braze, Leanplum, MoEngage, or Iterable for planning and launching successful campaigns.

Detail-Oriented & Multitasker : You have a high attention to detail and are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative Communicator : You excel in working and communicating effectively with diverse teams and working styles. You can thoughtfully challenge and influence others to get things done.

Bonus points
  • If you’ve worked on online dating, social discovery, community or entertainment products, but it’s not essential.
  • You have worked on Customer Relations Management
  • You have experience with copywriting for marketing or sales communications.
  • You have worked with design tools such as Figma.
The interview process
  • First round: Connect with our people team for a mutual introduction to see if we're a good fit (30 minutes).
  • Second round: Meet the Hiring Manager to discuss your background and experience (1 hour).
  • Growth Challenge: Demonstrate your abilities with a focus on CRM strategies, designing campaigns and analysing results (1 hour)
  • Final round: Focus on vision, growth, and direction (30 minutes).
