The Software Engineer, Dosimetry will contribute to the achievement of Telix’ strategic goals around dosimetry applications and patient-tailored treatment(s) by designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving dosimetry software applications. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the company’s dosimetry software toolkit (medical device). The Software Engineer, Dosimetry will report to the Global Lead Dosimetry Applications. Cross-functionally, you will work closely with Telix’s internal research, clinical and project teams across multiple disciplines and multiple disease areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the research and development of dosimetry solutions and products.
- Collaborate with the AI-team for design and implementation of various AI-solutions into the dosimetry platform.
- Execute essential tasks in the development and maintenance of current dosimetry product.
- Be part of and provide scientific insights for further development of the product.
- Monitor current research status and provide scientific advice in physics of quantitative SPECT and PET medical imaging. and dosimetry, including aspects of image reconstruction and artificial intelligence.
- Actively support the product development and code review for the dosimetry platform.
- Support with testing and documentation of the dosimetry platform.
- Provide end users support with various aspects of the dosimetry products.
- Coordinate and participate in conference exhibitions and online challenges within the community and cultivate relationships.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., physics, mathematics, engineering) required with advanced degrees (Masters or Ph.D.) preferred
- 3+ years relevant applied experience working in medical physics, nuclear medicine, medical imaging, dosimetry, radiation safety or other relevant fields.
- Knowledge of international standards and practices for dosimetry and radiation safety
- Previous hands-on experience developing the use of software for medical imaging and/or computer vision.
- Demonstrated competence with software development in Python (including Jupyter notebooks), Java, or C++, statistical software (e.g. R, MATLAB) and database analysis and languages (e.g. pandas, SQL)
- Experience using software development tools such as source code control systems (e.g. Git, CVS) or DevOps (e.g. Jenkins, Travis, Maven)
- Desirable for basic knowledge and exposure to cloud technologies (e.g. Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
