The Role

It is an exciting time to be a "Starrezian" with growth being achieved through expanding our core business in addition to mergers & acquisitions, we are looking for Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team!

You have an uncanny knack for problem solving and you have a sharp product mindset. Our engineers are involved in all aspects of the software design process and create high-performing, scalable, and secure products.

Role Specifics

• Work Location: Remote, UK

What You Will Own

• Development, maintenance and support of a C# ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET web application.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders internationally to meet customers’ needs.
• Contribute to code reviews and automated testing
• Participate in daily stand-up and regular refinement and planning meetings as part of a team-based, agile/scrum environment
• Work autonomously and pair up with team members when appropriate

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a developer
• Experience with the following technology:
• .NET framework 4.6+ / .NET 6+
• Microsoft Visual Studio/C#/ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET
• Web technologies – MVC, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
• SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related areas of study
• The ability to explain concepts and mentor junior developers
• Additional Technologies: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Git
• Experience working on a monolithic system
• Experience documenting solutions
• Passionate about product and shipping value to customers
• Strong systems thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently when required
• Ability to prioritise and escalate
• Experience with database design and development
• Passionate about modernising and continuously improving a large codebase
