Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Software Developer to be part of making that happen.
About The Role
You'll be working as a Developer on our Applications Team, responsible for delivering the cloud-based software that helps solve the real-world security problems that IT professionals face. You will focus on building tools that will help the Security Services team keep our customers safe and informed. Our goal is to develop tools, dashboards and automations that help security engineers deliver fast, quality security outcomes for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members to deliver key features that improve our Application Portal service offerings.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle.
- Build well-designed, testable, efficient, secure code.
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
About You
You are a talented Developer who is an excellent match for this description:
- This is a hybrid role - you must be able to commute to our office in Waterloo at least three times a week
- Demonstrate familiarity with Golang, Python and TypeScript or similar languages.
- Comfortable with front end technology such as React
- Believe in testing as a fundamental development practice
- Understanding of Kubernetes and DevOps principles
- Working knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and automated test tools
- Self-starter who enjoys big technical challenges
- Excited by the opportunity to learn new things
- Great design skills with a true interest of coding
- Familiarity with AWS products and cloud deployment
- Interested in the field of network security
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Interview Process
- Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.
- Technical assessment: A recruiter sends you a link to a straightforward technical assessment that is relevant to the role you are applying for. Approximately 1 hour.
- Face-to-face interviews: Several team members conduct two interviews to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to collaborate on a technical problem and talk more about past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview.

Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.
