Your Role

You will be part of our development team responsible for the platforms that allow the rapid delivery of ads to digital billboards in a secure, scalable and reliable way.

You’ll be working closely with a small and effective development team in a fast-paced environment, learning the tricks of the trade and our own internal systems architecture. You’ll be encouraged to continually learn and adapt as we continually blend cutting-edge technology with existing partner systems. Over time, you will have growing autonomy over design choices and development creativity.

We pride ourselves on automating as much as possible to sustain our advantage over slower-moving competitors. Our main core stack: AWS, Nginx, PHP8, JavaScript and MySQL. Ideally, you’ll already be familiar with these technologies but a desire to personally learn and develop is far more important.

You

You are a self-starter with buckets of initiative who is keen to learn new technologies and a focus on developing readable and maintainable code. You also enjoy playing with new integrations and trying out new libraries.

It isn’t unusual for the team to be working on multiple projects at once, so you will need to be organised, with the flexibility to move between code bases as and when required. On top of this, you have a sense of humour and a gif for every occasion!

Vacancy Technical Details

Requirable:

- Familiar with Git and repository management

- LEMP/LAMP stack administration

- Laravel (or another MVC framework) and JS

- MySQL, PostgreSQL and Database Management

- Experience with Cloud Services such as AWS (Ideally: EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Beanstalk)

Desirable:

- An academic background in computer science or similar (BSc or MSc)

- Database architecture & design

- PHPUnit (or similar unit testing framework) and TDD

- Experience with Javascript frameworks, like React, AngularJS, Vue etc

- Experience with at least 1 other OOP language. E.g. C#, Java

- Experience in a startup environment
