The Strategic Procurement Advisor - AI Transformation reports into the Manager Strategic Procurement AI Transformation and is involved in the various AI-related projects attached to Supply Chain. Primarily, the role “translates” business needs including requirements, context, processes etc. into advanced analytics (AA) language and reversely the outcomes of AI into business implications, validating that the desired outcomes are achieved. The advisor becomes the champion for AI initiatives and advanced analytics within the Strategic Procurement (SP) organization.

The Strategic Procurement Advisor - AI Transformation will act as a bridge between the business team and analytics specialists, taking inputs from the business team to define analytics propositions and identify use case opportunities. The candidate will work with a multi-functional team, including business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, designers, and business process designers, to define requirements and translate business requirements into user stories for the development team to implement. The Advisor will also support teams in validating assumptions, extracting relevant insights, and identifying and creating relevant data points.

As the projects progress, the Strategic Procurement Advisor will contribute to coordination of testing activities, validation of results, issues resolution, and user feedback integration, helping effective business adoption.
The Advisor will also support the business post deployment.

This role will also support other tool implementation and development in alignment with the SP roadmap. 

Responsibilities:

  • Take inputs from the business team and define analytics propositions to business stakeholders and identify use case opportunities.
  • Support teams in validating assumptions and extracting relevant insights.
  • Identify and create relevant data points, and extract, transform, and load data from multiple systems. As necessary, discover opportunities to acquire new data from other systems and recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collect and identify relevant inputs to verify and iterate outputs/analytics results, and test end-to-end use cases. Share results with business stakeholders. Help troubleshoot as necessary to obtain desired outputs and provide feedback to the development team to optimize outputs.
  • Perform complexes analysis to validate model outputs vs current methodologies.
  • Contribute to test planning and execution, including test script creation, tracking of issues and validation of model and tools performances.
  • Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to develop right visualizations (dashboards, reports…) for presenting results and to develop a user-friendly and intuitive user experience and UX/UI interface.
  • Create and refresh documentation to maintain and enhance the application.
  • Support change management and business onboarding by applying the adoption plan strategy, creating users’ manuals, coordinating and leading the onboarding activities, capturing enhancement requests and identifying improvement areas.
  • Stay abreast of and research best practices on supply chain optimization and AI applications and incorporate leading practices in design. Propose and conduct experiments to make product smarter.
  • Once project is completed, support the maintenance of the AI applications for SP. Support future phases and improvements to the tools.
  • Collaborate with the Business to Support future enhancements by identifying potential improvements and coordinating adjustments with development teams.
  • Support and perform governances’ activities to ensure value realization of the tools developed.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Self-starter and self-learner with ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and tight deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the abilities to work autonomously, leveraging available documentation and resources, synthesize complex situations, and communicate at multiple levels of expertise and across multiple teams to gain buy-in and support.
  • Ability to efficiently translate complex concepts into understandable language.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, data modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong results orientation and sense of ownership.
  • Ability to plan and structure own tasks and communicate updates proactively.
  • Experience with agile project tools (e.g. DevOps, Confluence, etc) and user testing process is an asset.
  • Team player with ability to work in a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications – strong Excel skills is a must.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
